Below is the contents of the Central Bedfordshire Council Adult Social Care APPP resource. It is divided into different sections; each with a number of specific chapters.

If you click on the Contents tab on the left side of the screen, you can access the full list of chapters. Alternatively, you can click on the arrow next to Contents and it will display all the different sections, where you can choose which one you want.

This section reflects the Care Act 2014 and the Care and Support Statutory Guidance (Department of Health and Social Care). In  particular Promoting Wellbeing, Preventing, Delaying or Reducing Needs and Information and Advice are the three main areas which underpin the Act.

Person Centred Care and Support

The chapters in this section are a combination of those taken from the Care and Support Statutory Guidance (Department of Health and Social Care) and other areas of person centred care.

This section reflects the local authority’s services and teams which provide person centred care. Some of these may be commissioned services. The chapters / titles are generic and should be adapted for local need.

This section reflects Chapter 14, Safeguarding, Care and Support Statutory Guidance (Department of Health and Social Care) and other safeguarding issues.

This section reflects the Care and Support Statutory Guidance (Department of Health and Social Care), but also other fundamental issues such as information sharing, which is key to the ethos of the Care Act.
